  1. Held my snuggly girl in the car for several hours to avoid ER germs while my husband got checked out
  2. Lugged snuggly girl, her car seat, and her diaper bag into the hospital when husband was admitted
Ignored vomiting lady in ER; schlepped to wrong elevator; wandered around to find right elevator
  3. Took baby home and tried to rest while she hung out with her grandad
Listened to her cry for a while; told myself this was good practice for both of us for next week at daycare; went downstairs to comfort her after 10 minutes of crying

I have an 11 week old and my husband is having an afib episode in the middle of the night
  1. The flanges for my breast pump
Our baby is 10 weeks old; we wanted to sleep. She was at our house with her grandparents
  1. Talked about how much space there was in our hotel room for baby girl and her things
  2. Called the grandparents to tell them our room number and check in
  3. Ate an early dinner where we got to hear a baby fuss almost the entire time
It was like we never left home! Also, this restaurant was not meant for children or fussy babies...

  1. My daughter didn't wake up every single hour last night
    Just every couple of hours.
  2. I got to take a shower and get dressed while my sister held the baby (and before 3pm!)
  3. I had oatmeal for breakfast while the baby sat peacefully awake in her bouncer
That means I had time to make the oatmeal AND eat it before it got cold. It's a good thing, since I polished off the doughnuts yesterday

New mom; children's librarian
  1. I have a constant low level of anxiety.
Since forever. I know because my first grade teacher asked why I was biting my nails. In first grade!
  2. I have no poker face
I roll my eyes a lot. I think I do it without realizing it, too. This is problematic since I work with the public.
  3. I've always loved beauty treatments
My mom let me get a perm when I was 4 years old because I said I wanted one (I have no recollection of this; I looked like a blonde Annie though). I got acrylic nails for the first time in 4th grade (again, I asked and my parents didn't say no). And I've dyed my hair since 8th grade (mainly blonder; with some fun accidental orange mixed in). I also thought I needed concealer for the "dark circles under my eyes" in 6th grade.
  4. A few things I was embarrassed of as a child:
🔹We didn't go to church. Everyone else did. Usually multiple times per week. 🔹My dad worked at the city cemetery. I thought this was super weird. 🔹My mom's Geo Metro hatchback had to be unlocked and opened from the outside. This REALLY bothered me for middle school drop off when I had to get my band instrument out.
I have a 9 week old. Need I say more?
  1. Woke up and fed her for a few minutes at midnight.
She fell back asleep way too quickly for this to be a good thing.
  2. Pumped while half asleep
  3. Tiptoed back to bed
