Oh shit I'm sensing a Title Wave @dustinboone
  1. Book: Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides
It's about a second generation Greek-American intersex man and the two generations that came before him. It deals with him growing up as a girl in Detroit and then slowly coming to the realization that somethin's up down there. There's also a ton of other rich family history/events that happen. It won the Pulitzer Prize. I read it in college and I was kinda blown away by how easy it was to read. Check it out, it's a good one.
  2. Movie: The Impossible (2012)
It's about a British family on vacation in Thailand when the 2004 tsunami hits, and their efforts to find each other after they get separated in a devastated country with no electricity and thousands of stranded people. I'm a sucker for family dramas, and this movie is the ultimate high for me as far as that goes. Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, and Tom Holland (Spider-Man!) are awesome in it. Definitely some whitewashing issues present here, but the acting/visuals are fantastic/beautiful.
  3. Album: "O Brother Where Art Thou?" Official Soundtrack
    Love it.
