What's on My Wrist

As requested
  1. Peach
A gift from the living master of Japanese tattoo named Horitoshi (one). Hand done in his shop while listening to blues music and watching sumo wrestling. A great memory.
  2. Cherry Blossom
Horitoshi's student Horimitsu (who tattooed my arm) hand tattooed this. The hand style is known as tebori.
  3. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak perpetual calendar
In rose gold. One of the best watches to come out in recent years. Look at the photo-realism of the moon phase. And the 52 week outer chapter ring is a curious and novel way to track time. (I'm told some Europeans break their years out into week numbers.) Stunning stuff.
  4. Apple Watch
I'm really trying. I travel with the watch in my bag and every once in a while I give it a charge and see what's been released that may render it useful, but so far it's just weather and baseball scores. Even the metronome app that could be insanely cool if it made noise/vibrated in time on the wrist but it just controls the sound on the iPhone. I'm trying to love it, @apple
