1. Tame Impala's album "Currents"
  2. Ratatat's album "Magnifique"
Thought I broke NPR's First Listen I listened to this album so much in anticipation. Even happier having bought the gem
  3. Unknown Mortal Orchestra
Not the biggest fan of "Multi-Love" but I recently saw em in concert and have been reminiscing by listening to their older albums ever since.
  4. Costa Pantera's song "Mar"
Search it and soon you'll be dancing like the chic in the music vid
  5. Chavela Vargas's song "La Llorona"
    Classic and moody
  6. Luzmilla Carpio's song "Amaotayku Avelino Sinani (El Remolon Remix)"
Discovered via NPR's Alt.Latino and fell in love. Uniting an age old indigenous language and 21st century tech, electronica sounds
  7. Vandaveer's song "Fistful of Swoon"
    An old moody fave
  8. Billie Holiday's song "You Go To My Head"
I can always go for some classic jazz and this is just so simple and beautiful. First got hooked in this track when it was used in a Mozart in the Jungle episode (I rewatched the credits a few times just to hear the song repeated).
  9. David Bowie's song "Life on Mars?"
I've been a David Bowie fan ever since high school when my dance company did an adaptation of Labyrinth (yes, that's right), and this track just can feel so uplifting on a slow morning.
