NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2016

It's a big list, I know. But I think it's pretty realistic in terms of what I can do. They all seem relatively simple, but a few are maybe too ambitious, but you honestly need those for yourself. It's kind of a low expectations list, and if I achieve more, cool, if I don't, fine. It's just hopeful maybes, I guess.
  1. 1.
    Drink more water.
This is an obvious one on most people's lists, but when I do stay hydrated, I feel good. Like really good.
  2. 2.
Stop relying on materials to make you happy.
I love things. But things aren't everything. Get it? I'm not putting "stop making stupid puns" on the list, by the way.
  3. 3.
    Get above a 3.0 GPA.
It shouldn't be that hard, but college is, and hopefully this can happen.
  4. 4.
    Get one A per term.
This doesn't seem hard, either. But yanno. College is hard, life is hard. This might be a task.
  5. 5.
Figure out more specifics for studying abroad.
As in, talk to someone about it. Find out where to go and when would be a good time. Find out what classes you would take and what classes you need to take in preparation. A follow up is to figure out what language you should probably start studying if you want to go to a non-English country.
  6. 6.
    Do better in the internship.
Last year, you were bored a lot of the time. This year, you need to make sure you have jobs and somehow make jobs for yourself. This is a daunting task, because you don't understand much, but they will expect more of you as a second year, and you need to make yourself look good.
  7. 7.
Get a boy to like you/talk to you/kiss you.
This is probably the most unrealistic. But this year you are turning 20, meaning you need to fucking get kissed. I don't care if you don't get a boyfriend this year, but kiss a boy. I don't care about the circumstances. I'm beyond caring. Just go to a frat party and make a boy kiss you and never see him again for all i care.
  8. 8.
    Get drunk.
You're in college, it needs to happen. I'm not going to say anything else.
  9. 9.
Find a place to live sophomore year.
Whether it's dorms again or an apartment, you need to live somewhere and you need someone to live with. Hopefully it will be friends.
  10. 10.
    Make more good friends.
This shouldn't have to be explained.
  11. 11.
    Explore Oregon more.
You live here now. Do something.
  12. 12.
Make a friend in every class.
You have three terms this year, that's a lot of friends to make.
  13. 13.
    Stop picking nails.
Just remember in the far off unrealistic future, if a guy ever proposes to you, you want nice hands. You'll thank me then.
  14. 14.
    Keep nails clean and painted.
    See above.
  15. 15.
    Dress cuter.
But don't rely on materials. But also you feel more confident when you're in a cute outfit.
  16. 16.
    Exercise twice a week.
With your winter term schedule, this is possible. So fucking do it. You'll probably be more confident with a flatter stomach. But remember that appearances aren't everything even if they make you feel more confident, they won't make you happier or make you friends.
  17. 17.
    Take classes you like.
As much as it is possible, take classes you enjoy.
  18. 18.
    Take a yoga class.
    Because you enjoy it.
  19. 19.
Realize what you want to do in terms of a major/double major/minor.
At least have a rough idea.
  20. 20.

Do things. Get a job, join a club or organization, do something!
