WHAT I WANTED TO BE GROWING UP, CHRONOLOGICALLY
- •Everything.I was overwhelmed by all that I wanted to be. A doctor, a lawyer, a writer, an activist, a psychologist, a speech pathologist. Whenever I wanted to be something, it consumed me until the next something did.
- •Financially stable.I came to realise that I am not smart enough for most of the above, so I'd be pretty happy doing something that meant I could pay the bills.
- •Emotionally stable.Recently I've discovered that even just finding work to pay the bills that doesn't make me panic constantly is harder than my younger self ever anticipated. Right now, I just want to be able to catch my breath and smile freely again.
