  1. Amelie
I have loved this film with every fiber of my being since the first time I watched it. The story line, the picturesque cinematography and the absolutely enchanting music...It has so much beauty, life and inspiration in it.
  2. Blue Valentine
When I first saw this on the AFI list, I wasn't sure if it would be that good. It was one of those films that I thought might be good but wasn't sure. I was so happy that I ended up making it one of the films I watched.
  3. Charlie Barrett
I wasn't expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did. But in the end it was an absolutely refreshing experience for me!
  4. Dallas Buyers Club
I didn't know it was even possible for me to have so many feelings at once. I never expected to see Matthew McCoughney in a role like this. And can we just take a moment to talk about Jared Leto in this?
  5. Election
Came and went so quietly, I am often surprised by how many people haven't seen it. It is definitely one of those films that exceeded my expectations.
  6. Fargo
Coen brothers forever. But seriously, what is there not to love about this movie? If you don't like it, please don't ever tell me.
  7. Grosse Pointe Blank
Very obscure but one of my absolute favorites. The cast is tremendous and it turned out some very notable performances, in my opinion.
  8. Heathers
I will love this movie for ever. I watch it as often as I can. I quote it every chance I get.
  9. I Love You To Death
Kevin Kline. Tracy Ulman. Very cleverly written and acted. I'm not a Keanu fan but this performance by him was actually quite surprising.
  10. Juno
The lines. The characters. The music. The absolute film perfection.
  11. Kick Ass
Because of so many reasons. I wasn't as big of a fan of the second one as I was the first. But I still love this series.
  12. Love Actually
Perhaps the only romance movie that I have watched more than once. I love the cast. I love the silly music. This movies predictable plot line is so charming and the cast is everything.
  13. My Life Without Me
One of those movies that I watched and absorbed and came back to year after year. The older I get the more I appreciate it's message and quiet brilliance.
  14. Napoleon Dynamite
Perhaps one of the silliest movies that have ever appeared. Yet one of the most enjoyable. I could seriously watch the dance scene so many times.
  15. Oh brother, where art thou?
Coen brothers for ever...did I say that already? Well it is the truth. I love everything they do and this film was no exception.
  16. Pulp Fiction
I love Quentin Tarantino. And this is one of his best, in my opinion. Samuel L Jackson is a bad mother f%^*# in it.
  17. Quinceanera
Having lived through this particular tradition, I couldn't help but enjoy its very quirky style.
  18. Reality Bites
I will always love this movie. It happened to be released during a time when I was learning who I was. And I will love it for ever.
  19. Stranger than Fiction
Is it because I'm an aspiring writer? Is it the cast? Whatever the reason, this film really touched my heart.
  20. The Royal Tenenbaums
I love Wes Anderson. His only flaw is that he hasn't made a film that starts with every letter in the alphabet so I could make this entire list of his films. Picking just one movie was a huge challenge. But this was one that couldn't be left off this list.
  21. Unforgiven
One of the films that I feel everyone should watch at least once. So good...Eastwood might not have my respect as a person anymore, but I will never be able to discredit his work.
  22. Volver
The cast is phenomenal, the acting and the story line. So very worth a try if you can handle subtitles or speak fluent Spanish. Penelope Cruz is amazing in it.
  23. Whip It
Because I had to have at least one female empowerment movie on here. I would argue with you that I have several, but this is the most obvious. I thought this film was clever and had a great message. I also felt Barrymore showed serious potential in her directing debut.
  24. X-men
Is this considered cheating? I love the x-men movies. I find that they actually have a message, an admirable trait in action movies. And the women empowerment is inspired
  25. Y tu mama tambien
I'm sure I'm losing you guys with the foreign films. But this is seriously one of the most meaningful movies. And it's got the love of my life. #GaelGarciaBernal for ever
  26. Zack and Mini make a porno
I have seen this so many times. And I have found that I like it just a little bit more every time I watch it. It was superbly cast. Hilarious and a feel good movie in so many ways.
