MEMOIRS I'VE LOVED

Inspired by @kaydbug89 & @lexie_elyse I read a lot of memoirs. I love them. The memoir section is one of the first I seek out when visiting a new bookstore!
  1. Brain on Fire
I was just sucked into this one! I'm so interested in the brain & brain anomalies
  2. Blackout
I remember this one being slow to pull me in but then I couldn't put it down. Funny too!
  3. A Piece of Cake
Cupcake Brown's story will move you to pieces (see what I did there?)
  4. I Was Told There'd Be Cake
I read this so long ago and remember loving it & following Sloane Crosley's writing career. (I preferred this to How Did You Get This Number
  5. I like you just the way I am
Jenny Mollen is irreverent & hilarious!
  6. The Glass Castle
I read it a while ago and loved the way she wrote her story!
  7. When You Are Engulfed in Flames
My favorite of David Sedaris's books
  8. My Horizontal Life
Yes I own and have read all of Chelsea Handler's books. Don't judge! Irreverent & funny is my go to. This is my favorite one.
  9. Love is a mix tape
Each part of this love story is introduced by an actual mix tape song list!
  10. Running with Scissors
I can't believe I forgot this one. This was probably one of the first memoirs I read. Brilliant
  11. Lucky
I don't know what to say about this one. I read it 16 years ago and it still sticks with me!
