2016: A PHOTO FOR EACH MONTH

Inspired by @Boogie, @colls39, @bredee, and everyone else
  1. January:
I have a fascination/love with sunsets, which I guess is the universe's way of reminding me to stop, breathe, and enjoy the beauty.
  2. February:
Taken on the 15th, which also happened to be my 27th birthday.
  3. March:
My brother and young cousins rolling cars up and down the hallway at our grandmother's. What makes me love this picture even more is that Daniel (my younger brother) and our cousin David used to do the exact same thing when they were little.
  4. April:
I look terrible in this, but Felicia Day was a complete and total sweetheart.
  5. May:
Me with my crooked teeth, messy hair, and loud laugh.
  6. June:
Most dogs don't deal with HGE (Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis) once but Mo's dealt with it twice— once about three years ago and then again this past June. I li.sted about it back when it happened but what I didn't mention was that her prognosis wasn't very good. Mercifully, the vets were able to stabilize her and she got to come home the next night.
  7. July:
Five days after she got to come home from the vet, we celebrated our fourth year of life together.
  8. August:
Hanging out with Cher as one does on a typical Saturday afternoon.
  9. September:
Heart just doing their thing and kicking ass.
  10. Bonus:
My sweet friend- and book person extraordinaire- Johanna. Sadly, I still haven't convinced her to join us here yet.
  11. October:
I'm pretty obsessed with Vivian Howard's A Chef's Life (PBS) so getting the chance to meet her and find out that she was the bee's knees was pretty amazing.
  12. Bonus:
It's always nice to run into friends, especially if you haven't seen them in a while.
  13. November:
The two opportunities I had to see the woman whose lyrics are so entwined with my soul that you could probably hear them echoed back in my heartbeat are easily some of the greatest experiences of my life.
  14. December:
Just when I start to think of myself as a nice, somewhat sane person, I start going through the pictures in my old phones and...well, yeah.
  15. This is the face of a dog who made a terrible life decision yesterday by choosing to eat something she shouldn't have. Luckily, I caught her in the act and was able to get her to the vet so they could clear her stomach before it had too much of a chance to digest. Still, it wasn't pretty and we're both having to take today to recover.
