How Grace and Frankie made me have a minor breakdown

  1. So I've been binge watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix
  2. I'm not sure what it is about this show, I can't relate to 70 year old divorced women, but I really love watching it.
  3. I'm pretty sure Frankie is my spirit animal
  4. Anyway, today I watched season 2 episode 12 and without spoiling it, they say good bye to a good friend.
  5. At one point in the episode they start to speak the lyrics to "a Bushel and a Peck" by Doris Day
But only a few words of it.
  6. My Nonna used to sing that song to me nearly every time I saw her. She signed every card with "bushel and a peck, and well you know the rest" and when she started texting it was always "I<3UaB&aP"
  7. My Nonna passed away last Wednesday, she was 83
  8. I'm okay with death. Everyone dies, and there's no use being surprised by it.
  9. But I grieve differently than anyone I've met, I don't cry, I don't sulk, I say goodbye and I just move on.
  10. Well today as the episode ended the outro music was the entire song
  11. And I lost it
  12. For about 5 minutes.
  13. My Nonna was a wonderfully sharp woman and I miss her shitty remarks dearly.
  14. I<3UaB&aP
