BEER DIARY - London edition #3

More London beers.! Two more pubcats!
  1. OJ's White Bear Pilsener
I think the bar man told me that he and his dad make this beer. Crisp and dry, slightly fruity, light-bodied and lively carbonation. Good!
  2. Castle Rock Midnight Owl, black IPA
Malt-forward and raisiny. Not too bitter or cascadian (pine trees). Tasty dark beer.
  3. Adnams Broadside, English bitter
Dark, raisin, plum, mild. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
  4. Adnams Ghost Ship, pale ale
Tropical hop flavors, mild malt balance.
  5. Samuel Smith Double Four Lager
Four ingredients, double fermented, so the draught handle says. Nice dry, crisp lager.
  6. Dark Star Espresso, coffee stout
Delicious! Nice middle-of-the-road coffee flavor, neither bitter nor strong but still in the forefront.
  7. Gloucester Red 100
Mm, has the distinct red ale flavor. Mild with slight bitterness on the back end.
