  9. My mom thought no price was too big to pay to be able to reach me whenever she wanted so in MIDDLE SCHOOL I started carrying this brick around. $8 a minute & I still had a pager + change for pay phones b/c I wasn't allowed to actually use it unless I was bleeding in a ditch. Agreeing to it meant I was allowed to take the Muni home with my friends

  10. Black rotary phone, typically found in offices from the 70s & 80s.
My dad worked at a University as a professor and around the time we moved into our new house, which my parents had built in a new subdivision in the suburbs of St. Louis, the university was upgrading their phones and giving away all of their old one. My parents opted to put a phone line in EVERY room they could, which meant I got a phone line in my bedroom! We had these old school phones all over our house.

  11. My parents let me have my own phone line because they hated call waiting and were sick of me tying up their phone line with my girlish chatter. In retrospect, I don't understand why I wasn't MUCH more popular when I owned a phone like this.

  14. Samsung Flip Phone, 10? 11?
I learned how to play "Buy U A Drank" with the number tones, and broke it by throwing it at my oven after an argument with my "boyfriend".

  15. Samsung C35, age 14(?)
Loved getting a phone, but I also remember being slightly disappointed that it had an antenna and I couldn't play Snake on it. Also, this may be a "newer" model because there is NO way I had internet.
