Most Rewarding Experiences as a Music Therapist

Thanks Gaby for suggesting. Needed to reflect on this as a reminder of why I'm living this crazy life. This list to be forever edited with life
  1. Having a middle school girl tell me I helped her overcome her fears to share her story with others
  2. Getting hit on the ass with a drum mallet by an 80 year old man
  3. Attending the funeral of a client and having her mother express gratitude for the happiness I brought to their life
  4. Making eye contact with a new human for the first time
  5. Experiencing a group of female dementia patients sing 'Que Sera Sera' in unison (literally cried when I left)
  6. Having a 90 year old woman call me an 'asshole' while trying to kick my shin
  7. Seeing the joy in a mothers face when her child shows development
