1. Veterinarian (Age 3-5)
  2. Doctor (Age 5-6)
  3. Archaeologist (Age 7-8)
At this point in my life, my parents were having to make up spelling lists for my teacher to test me on because I wasn't challenged enough by the regular curriculum. My spelling lists were often themed and that theme was often dinosaur related. I know.
  4. Poet (Age 8-10)
  5. Literally anything to do with horses (Age 10-15)
I was too tall to be a jockey by age 10. I would have been happy being a professional farm hand. Horse girls are weird.
  6. George Stroumboulopoulos (Age 15-now)
I wanted to be a music journalist but mostly just a MuchMusic VJ, but like one of the serious ones that talk about the news.
  7. English teacher (Briefly, age 16 or 17)
Writing was the only thing I enjoyed and I was desperate to find a way to make a career of it, but both of my parents are teachers and they politely opposed this. Little did I know I'd end up with a M.Sc.
  8. Lawyer (Also very brief, around 18)
I took a law class and loved it. Quickly realized there is probably no other job I am less suited to do.
  9. Speech Language Pathologist (Age 19-23)
Chose something that worked with the intersection of my newfound interest in psychology and linguistics. Spent 6 years and a lot of money on this one.
  10. Trophy wife/ Stay at home dog mom (Age 25- )
I am just not cut out for work.
