  1. Messing around in the Soldier Field parking lot instead of going in to see/hear The Band open for The Grateful Dead in July 1995.
    I was there more for the overall experience than the show. I didn't even really like The Dead that much, to be honest, and might have been the only non-high audience member. I developed a deep love for The Band in the years that followed. Rick Danko died in 1999 and I never got another chance to see them. I kick myself for missing out on that opportunity.
