MY FAVORITE MOVIES FROM EACH YEAR I'VE BEEN ALIVE

First list. No one will see this. 😘
  1. 1991: Hook
    Robin Williams at his best.
  2. 1992: Wayne's World
I think anything that Lorne Michaels is involved in is gold.
  3. 1993: Jurassic Park
1993 was the year for movies. This one was tough. Mrs. Doubtfire, Groundhog Day, Sleepless in Seattle, Robin Hood: Men in Tights! Jurassic Park just tops.
  4. 1994: Dumb and Dumber
I can watch this movie anytime, anywhere, with anyone and guarantee laughs. It's just flawless.
  5. 1995: Heavyweights
One of Judd Apatow's finest works in my eyes. I could not tell you how many times I have watched this movie.
  6. 1996: Space Jam
    Obviously.
  7. 1997: Good Will Hunting
The movie that launched Ben Affleck and Matt Damon to where they are now. It's inspiring that they wrote this movie when they were 22 and 27.
  8. 1998: You've Got Mail
One of the greatest Tom Hanks movies ever. It is such a comforting movie. Also Dave Chappelle killed it.
  9. 1999: Notting Hill
    I love Hugh Grant.
  10. 2000: Meet the Parents
One of the funniest movies I've seen. You can never go wrong with a joke about milking a cat.
  11. 2001: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter has probably had the biggest effect on my life. It sounds weird, but I am not ashamed.
  12. 2002: Gangs of New York
One of Martin Scorsese's best movies, and WHAT AN INSANE CAST! Love it.
  13. 2003: Elf
    Absolute favorite Christmas movie.
  14. 2004: The Terminal
Tom Hanks can play any character. He is just so cool. Also, Steven Spielberg keeps it 💯.
  15. 2005: The 40-Year-Old Virgin
Judd Apatow slays it. Comedy gold!
  16. 2006: The Holiday
    Jude Law 👌🏻
  17. 2007: Into the Wild
One the the rare instances where the movie is better than the book. This is one of my favorite stories of all time. Giving up everything and heading to Alaska, so swag. Eddie Vedder makes some nice music too.
  18. 2008: Forgetting Sarah Marshall
I think Russell Brand is absolutely hilarious. He's a brilliant comedian. Jason Segel wrote a great movie and once again Judd Apatow was involved.
  19. 2009: The Proposal
    Nothing better. Nothing.
  20. 2010: The Social Network
Although I hate Facebook, the story is incredible. Aaron Sorkin does great work!
  21. 2011: Bridesmaids
    No need to explain.
  22. 2012: Moonrise Kingdom
Normally I don't really love Wes Anderson movies, but this one is so warm and whimsical I can't stand it.
  23. 2013: Monsters University
I am a sucker for all things Disney/Pixar. After waiting twelve years to hear more about the monster world, it was no disappointment. 10/10! Would recommend!
  24. 2014: Obvious Child
Jenny Slate is so funny. I love her as a comedian. Also the movie sheds light on a pretty important subject.
  25. 2015: Star Wars: The Force Awakens
2015 was another power house year for movies. Star Wars, Inside Out, The Martian, The Revenant, Jurassic World, The Big Short, and so many more. Star Wars wins simply because it was awesome and I loved every second of it.
  26. 2016: Zootopia
It addresses current events, and is totally excellent.
