    The singers are often upset about something weird, like their uncle dying in a peet bog or losing a job they already hated (I invented those two examples but you know what I mean.)

    I saw one of the last live shows she ever did and wept as she sang selections from her entire career including my most beloved Christmas song "Go Where I Send Thee" and a perfect cover of "Something Inside So Strong" by Labi Siffre.
