LIST 201: MY LIST STORY/TIMELINE

This is my 201st list! I had wanted to do a statistical breakdown of my numbers like @supercommonname did, but it turns out that I don't like doing math and couldn't motivate myself to do it. So, I decided to give you all my list history. Also I wanted this to be my 200th list but I really wanted to write about my list rules. Hope you enjoy! ❤️❤️❤️
  1. April 24, 2016: I join list after reading about it on @bjnovak's Twitter and deciding that it sounds interesting.
  2. This was my first list (or at least the earliest list that I didn't delete): Books Read in 2016 📚
It's just all the books I've read in 2016. I still update it as I read new books.
  3. @Nicholas liked it and relisted it, and after that people just went crazy. I was so proud. I remember I was meeting with my Com 100 study group when I got the notification that I was trending, and I told them all and they were like "wtf is list" and I didn't care because I was so happy. I posted the list on April 26, 2016, but it didn't trend until April 27, 2016.
  4. On April 30, 2016, @bjnovak made my life by liking and commenting on this list: Sins Committed On Ice Cream By Film/TV
I remember I was sitting in a lounge after going to the gym (I think I was drinking a smoothie) and I got that notification and became a changed woman.
  5. My second trending list, otherwise known as the list to prove I wasn't a one hit wonder, was this one about Niagara Falls: Ways People Have Gone Over Niagara Falls, Ranked By Originality
My old friend @bjnovak liked it and commented that it was so good. I wanted to have that comment framed.
  6. If I had to choose one, I think my most vulnerable list would be this one: Good for her, not for me
The support and love I received from it showed me that it was worth it to be vulnerable.
  7. On June 14, 2016, I broke list with my list about bathroom stalls: I googled "why do bathroom stalls not go all the way down to the floor" so you don't have to
Okay I didn't actually break list, but it was my first list to break 100 likes.
  8. On June 29, 2016, I marked my 99th list with this one: 99 of my favorite lists
Because I just love you all and your lists so freaking much.
  9. On July 23, 2016, I posted my most popular list about the amazing Brie Larson: We need to talk about Brie Larson
Just goes to show that everyone adores Brie Larson.
  10. On August 8, 2016, my life was changed once again when I was featured for the first time with this list: Tree houses 🌳🏠
Guys I get up at 4:30am for work. Stuff like this keeps me going. Also, pro tip: all you have to do is screenshot pictures of tree houses from Pinterest to be featured! Who knew??
  11. And that's my story so far. Of course, there have been many milestones that didn't mention.
  12. I have made two people join list: my mom and my sister.
They don't list that much because they live to make me feel bad about myself.
  13. I've used emojis and gifs and wondered if I seemed too much like a teenage girl and then decided that I didn't care because I am a teenage girl.
  14. I've been complimented many times, and given as many compliments as I could.
Everyone is just so nice here.
  15. I've learned about perspectives and experiences that are unlike mine. I've related to other people's perspectives and experiences.
  16. I've laughed out loud in public because of something funny on list. I've attempted (and likely failed) to make other people laugh.
  17. I've fangirled over famous people, trends, and features.
  18. I've gotten so many recommendations for books, movies, tv shows, and podcasts.
  19. I've been star struck when listers I adore have followed me.
  20. I've written lists and I've deleted them.
  21. I've been vulnerable and talked about things close to my heart, and then I've talked about things like bathroom stalls.
  22. I've shared my loves, my hopes, and my annoyances with this group and I've read about other people's.
  23. I've read your lists and become obsessed with all of you.
  24. There are many more things, but I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you.
Thank you for this community. Thank you all for being your awesome selves and sharing your lives with me and allowing me to share my life with you. It's been a blast. ❤️
