1. My friend Rob sent me this email.
    C4844f4a e91e 4d47 b9c6 68c431b82961
  2. A nice friendly email inviting us to play some board games.
  3. BUT!
  4. Then I noticed!
  5. The signature: Robb
    Ef3acad3 1d59 44c8 ad3d 38f2aeee3529
  6. TWO B's!!!
  7. And suddenly I was frantic.
  8. Have I been misspelling his nickname all this time? 😳
  9. For over 5 years?!?!?! 😨
  10. A little context: last year I learned that I didn't know a lot of things about him and his wife.
Despite being good friends for a while.
  11. Jeff and I officiated their wedding and realized some things on the night of the rehearsal dinner.
Rob's family calls him Tripp (he's a the third) and Mary's family calls her Denise. Never knew this. Also some other interesting things but I don't want to spill.
  12. So now it seemed plausible that I had been misspelling 'Rob' this whole time.
  13. So naturally I frantically looked through every email he had ever sent me.
  14. But most of them were unsigned!
  15. Then I thought to search Gmail for "Robb".
  16. I found someone else addressing him with that spelling.
  17. But I found an email where he signed it 'Rob'.

  18. Now what?!?!?!
  19. Do I ask? He is either inconsistent or doesn't care because I've never been corrected!
  20. WHO AM I?
  23. 😱😱😱
  24. Ok like maybe this doesn't really matter.
