Books I read in August

Summer of YA continues...
  1. Swallow This: Serving Up the Food Industry's Darkest Secrets by Joanna Blythman
Well, this was depressing. It's about how the food industry keeps one step ahead of labelling laws and public awareness to come up with new 'processing aids' that fool us into thinking food is healthy and fresh. Basically we're all doomed unless you live on a farm. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  2. Up to This Pointe by Jennifer Longo
I loved this! It ticked a lot of my boxes: ballet, Antarctica, smart female characters. All the details about wintering over at the research station were fascinating and the plot and characters weren't too generic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  3. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Everyone kept recommending this series to me so I checked it out. I'm not one of those people who swoon over Paris but I liked it a lot. Relied a bit too much on misunderstandings for 5 stars but I'll probably read the other books sometime. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  4. Currently reading Summer Days and Summer Nights short story collection.
It's so pretty, and quite good so far.
