Colour My Every Day β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ

I'm doing another Instagram daily photo challenge all about colour! As with the last one, I'll update here once a week. If you want to see new pics daily I'm marcelinesmith on IG.
  1. 1.
    Favourite Colour
Mine is yellow. It's so cheerful on gloomy days and yellow flowers are the best. πŸŒΌβ˜€οΈπŸŒ»πŸ’›
  2. 2.
    From the wardrobe
I have an open rail so I can enjoy my clothes even when I'm not wearing them. As you can see, I like t-shirts, bright colours, patterns and stripes! Fun fact: this is my entire spring/summer wardrobe - only trousers, a few cardigans and a little bit of laundry are elsewhere.
  3. 3.
    On my desk
I'm one of those awful people who keep their desk tidy so here's a look inside my washi tape box! Too many kawaii designs that I will never be willing to use.
  4. 4.
    Look up
This is my view when I lie on the sofa: giant rainbow TOMpacasso plotting world domination! 🌈🌎
  5. 5.
I bought a colourful new suitcase for my summer holidays to London and Oban. Hopefully it will make me as happy a traveller as Usagi!
  6. 6.
Let's enjoy this crazy colourful blanket that covers the sofa bed in my studio. I don't know who made it but I'm very grateful they did!
  7. 7.
    From the kitchen
This happy apple sponge was one of the first things I put out when I moved 🍎 I'd been saving it for years until I had my own kitchen! (Fruit-themed kitchen list coming soon)
  8. 8.
I very rarely wear or buy jewellery but here are my most colourful necklaces. Apparently I like unhappy jewellery
  9. 9.
There aren't many colourful buildings locally so here's the Moshi Moshi Box in Harajuku. It's super kawaii and well worth popping into as the staff are so friendly and will let you add some souvenir stamps to your collection.
  10. 10.
This is one of my favourite little displays of things. Rainbow Rowell's books are as colourful as her name and my Bumblebee and Pumpkin Meowchis are keeping an eye on them πŸπŸŽƒπŸ˜»
  11. 11.
These are my favourite pens (Pentel sign pens) and I keep buying more in different colours. I really need a green one 🌈
  12. 12.
    Look Down
Let's go back to Japan instead and this delightfully colourful manhole cover in Osaka. There are so many beautiful ones to look out for.
  13. 13.
Here's two of my favourite vintage tins. The one on the left is a tea tin from Edinburgh and now holds my badge collection. The Dutch tin was once full of biscuits but now has lots of change that I need to swap for real money.
  14. 14.
It's a good excuse to finally share this photo of my cool space glasses by Life of Jay. I got one for my birthday last year and added another this year. I love them πŸš€πŸ’«
  15. 15.
Here's a couple of colourful kawaii favourites from my stash. Why didn't I buy more of those bears?!
  16. 16.
I'm painting a cork board today because I ran out of space for my enamel pin collection 😬 (this is not interesting enough to gif - check my IG if you want to see it moving!)
  17. 17.
    Man Made
I don't really know what to post for this so here's some more pens! I gave in and ordered the last three sign pen colours I needed. (this was a weird prompt, or maybe I'm still baffled that rainbow isn't one)
  18. 18.
I have a whole box of paper cut characters I've made for tutorials and experiments. One day I will sort through them and have a little sale.
  19. 19.
Here's today's view from the seafront, my favourite place for a walk. It's looking a bit more colourful today - hopefully summer is back!
  20. 20.
    From the Cupboard
Here's a look inside my kitchen cupboard - so many favourites! There is no universe where I would own a matching dinner set.
  21. 21.
Here's some colours from yesterday's walk along the seafront.
  22. 22.
I do own more colourful ceramics but this bunny vase is my favourite and it's looking unbearably cute just now with a pink peony 🐰🌸
  23. 23.
I've been thinking about what to bring on my upcoming London trip and I think I need to wear my cat dress to Hyper Japan.
  24. 24.
I bought these gigantic strawberries a few days ago and they were really good. I like to think this is what was happening while they were warming up in the sunshine πŸ“πŸ˜Š
  25. 25.
These are the rest of the peonies cheering up my mantelpiece 🌸🌸🐰🌸🌸
  26. 26.
Who lives in this little house? (This was a swipe and see but I've made a collage for you - it's Rover from Animal Crossing)
  27. 27.
    My View
This is the view from my kitchen window looking very green 🌿🌳
  28. 28.
I bought this fox bag for my Japan trip last year and it ended up being so perfect that I'm still using it as my main bag 🦊
  29. 29.
This is my favourite pin combo: Liberty print hoodie and Stay Home Club Awful pin πŸ™ƒ
  30. 30.
I eventually chose my lovely vintage tin of coloured pencils as it sums up this challenge quite nicely. It's even still got the complaint slip inside in five languages! The twist is that I don't like Caran D'Ache pencils so it actually holds my much-used collection from different brands.
  31. 31.
    Here's the inside
Shout out to everyone else who sharpens pencils with a knife πŸ”ͺ✏️
