Books I Finished in February

In which you will learn that I am a very easy rater. I just like loving things.
  1. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Several people recommended this one and they were right. I loved that it was a Cinderella retelling but the references were pretty subtle. It definitely surprised me and I'm excited to read the second. 5/5
  2. Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen
Cute and nice but nothing to write home about. I've kind of forgotten it already even though I enjoyed reading it. I do still want to own chickens someday. 3/5
  3. A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron
Seriously these books. It made me want to own a dog again but I'd be too sad when it died. 4.75/5
  4. A Dog's Journey by W. Bruce Cameron
These books totally surprised me. I listed about them here: If You Love (or Even Just Like) Dogs 5/5
  5. The Siren by Kiera Cass
A YA novel with a totally unique premise. I loved the idea and the twists and turns. Definitely recommend this one to YA fans. 4/5
  6. Island of Saints by Andy Andrews
Another surprise. My dad told me to read it a few years ago and I procrastinated. I didn't realize until the very end that it was a true story. A neat twist on a WWII story that many people don't know about (Nazis in Florida!) 4/5
  7. The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
One of my all-time favorite books by one of my favorite authors. I love the idea of an un-extraordinary "hero". Makes me cry and reevaluate my life every time. A girl in my book club hated it and now I strongly dislike her. 5/5
