HELP! FIX MY FUCKED-UP FACE SERIES: FAST MAKE-UP ON THE GO

Currently making this list en route from Chicago O'Hare to LAX, so I decided to make today's topic relevant to my travels ✈️ All of these products are formulas that avoid messy spills with the minimal amount of products to carry in your make-up bag.
  1. Perfect for mornings for work (or school) when you are rushing out the door
Or in my case right now, where I'm at the airport and I still want to look bright-faced without looking as dehydrated as I feel on these flights.
  2. 1. Start with a primer that's hydrating
Especially when you are flying: it can really draw out moisture from your skin, so it's important to keep as much of it in as possible. Primers in general are necessary because they act as a glue for the foundation to stick to and make the product easier to glide on the face.
  3. Suggestions: Stila Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer Stick, Too Faced Hangover Primer, Smashbox Primer Water
  4. 2. Use a foundation that dries to a powder finish
The foundation sticks and/or cushion sponges are very useful to apply quickly. This will eliminate the need for finishing powder, if you don't have time for this step or it's too messy.
  5. Suggestions: Lancôme Miracle Cushion Compact, Maybelline Fit Me Stick
  6. 3. Use a BB cream concealer to brighten up tired eyes
Place it on areas under the eyes, as well as the chin, forehead, and sides of the nose to balance out the face. The BB cream formula is not as heavy as regular formulas which makes it easier to spread and disperse.
  7. Suggestions: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Eyes, Bareminerals Well-Rested Eye Brightener (Optional)
  8. *Note: Also, place this on the eyelids to act as eyeshadow primer.
  9. 4. Dust a brightening finishing powder under the eyes
The light particles will catch the light to help illuminate without looking sparkly and will avoid creasing
  10. Suggestion: NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Finishing Powder
  11. 5. Lightly contour the face
This will help bring dimension back into the face to avoid the look of being washed-out
  12. Suggestion: Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Comes with a mini brush and super compact
  13. *Note: Blend contour shade into the socket crease to act as an eyeshadow for subtle definition
  14. 6. Dab some cream blush to flush the cheeks
This is an easy way to apply color with your fingers
  15. Suggestions: Benefit Majorette Blush Enhancer, Stila Convertible Color
  16. 7. Highlight features using a cream highlighter
Cream highlighters blend right into the skin, making it look like you're glowing from within. Pat it onto the top of the cheekbones, underneath the brow bone, the Cupid's bow, tip of the nose, and in the inner corner of the eyes
  17. Suggestions: IT Cosmetics Cream Highlighter, Benefit Watts Up
  18. 8. Swipe on a few coats of curling mascara
  19. Suggestion: Benefit Roller Lash
This particular formula and brush combo technique curl your lashes in a spring form (like hair rollers for the hair, hence the name), so it skips the need for an eyelash curler!
  20. 9. Fill in sparse areas of the brows using an oblong-shaped pencil
The shape provides both thin and thin lines for better precision
  21. Suggestion: Smashbox Brow Tech To-Go
This has brow gel included in it to set the brow hairs
  22. 10. Spritz rose water on your face
(Especially great for plane rides!!) This helps rejuvenate dehydrated skin and will smooth out cakey-looking makeup
  23. Suggestion: Mario Badescu Facial Spray
  24. 11. Add some hydrating lip balm with color for mirror-less application
Nude shades are easier to apply in a hurry than deeper shades
  25. Suggestion: YSL Rouge Volupte Shine
