I can't believe I just used that word. Thank you @k8mcgarry for the request! Hopefully these tips will assist in taming dem browz
  1. 1. Schedule an appointment for routine maintenance to keep your brows looking polished.
Find a Waxer or Threader that you absolutely love and stick with them. If any of you are local to the Los Angeles or Orange County area and don't mind making the trek to Long Beach, Erika Grauman is BY FAR the best Waxer that I have ever come across. She was voted as one of the Top 10 Best Brow Waxers for Ultas across the country. If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.
  2. 2. Determine your brow shape.
Use the picture to locate a) the start of your brow, b) the arch of your brow, c) the end point of your brow. To frame the face correctly, the end point should elongate towards your ear, not curve down.
  3. *For Bold Brows*
  4. 3. Outline your brow shape with a thin pencil.
The biggest complaint I hear about the Brow Wiz is that the product runs out so quickly. This is because it's original intention was for more outlining than actually filling in. Use the spoolie to brush the hairs up to find the natural line on the underside of the brow near the arch. Brush the hair down to follow the natural line of the top of the tail.
  5. Suggestions: Anastasia Brow Wiz, Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil
  6. 4. Fill in the brows using a cream pot.
Dip a thin angled brush into the product and wipe off the excess on the back of your hand. A little bit goes a long way. Starting from the underside again (since most of the product should be concentrated here to draw attention to the arch), follow the line you traced out. Fill in the remainder using feathery strokes to mimic the look of brow hairs. With the product left over, you can softly trace the front of the brow, using gentle upward strokes.
  7. Suggestions: Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, NYX Eyeliner Brush
  8. 5. Set the brow pomade using a brow powder.
This will fill in any gaps and soften the look while keeping the product from fading throughout the day.
  9. Suggestions: Anastasia Brow Powder Duo, Urban Decay Brow Box
  10. 6. Tame the hairs by using a brow gel.
This will act as "hairspray" for the brow hairs to stay neatly in place.
  11. Suggestion: Anastasia Clear Brow Gel
  12. *For Natural Brows*
  13. 3. Lay down the hairs with colored wax.
Use a thin angled brush and the wax to carve and trace out the shape you want your brow hair to lay.
  14. Suggestion: Benefit BrowZings
  15. 4. Set using brow powder.
This will help soften and diffuse the look.
  16. 5. Use a colored brow gel to break up the wax and spread the product evenly.
Use a volumizing formula to create the look of fuller brows.
  17. Suggestion: Benefit Gimme Brow
  18. *On the go*
  19. 3. Use a wax pencil to tame the hair.
This is faster and easier than a creme brow wax.
  20. Suggestion: Anastasia Brow Fix
  21. 4. Fill in the brows using an oblong-shaped pencil.
This shape will allow you to create thin lines or thick lines for versatility. Use feather-like strokes to create brow-like hairs.
  22. Suggestions: IT Cosmetics Brow Power, Anastasia Brow Definer, Smashbox Brow Tech To-Go (this actually has brow gel attached to it)
  23. Tips
  24. *Use concealer to clean up any mistakes or to enhance the look overall.
I suggest using the Anastasia Pro Pencil Color Corrector for the top of the brows because it erases the look of any stray hairs.
  25. *Use stencils if you need help finding a shape that suits you.
Anastasia has a pack that provides a variety of different arch shapes. This will also help with choosing which stray hairs to pluck without overtweezing.
