  7. Mission has TONS to eat. Just walk up and down Valencia Street btw 16 to 24th st
But here are a few suggestions: Mission Cheese (get a cheese flight), Delfina Pizzeria (on 18th), Tartine (on 18th), Craftmans and Wolves (get Rebel Within), Tacoliscious (get any taco), Four Barrel Coffee (get a coffee), Ritual Coffee (get a Nitro), Dandelion Chocolate (get hot chocolate), BiRite Ice Cream (get salted caramel), Humphry Slocombe ice cream (get secret breakfast), Dynamo donuts (get any donut), Anthony's Cookies (get the cookies & cream), any taqueria (get a burrito).

  8. Bi-Rite ice cream and Dolores park.
You'll wait in an absurdly long line, but it'll be worth it. And the park is finally redone and looking great!

  9. Go to Ghiradelli Square if you can! They have the BESTT ice cream and you can see how chocolate is made, it's very cool!

  10. So I'm going to override @mirthnuts's suggestions because you are staying in the Mission. Go to BiRite Creamery, Humphrey Slocombe's or Mitchell's ice cream shops. Much better than Ghiradelli's. And then pop your head into Dandelion Chocolate. It's small batch chocolate made bean to bar. You can see them making it in the back.
Not that Ghiradelli's is a bad place to go. But it sort of like going to an Anheuser Busch brewery plant tour to learn how they make Bud Light versus going to a local small craft beer company brewery. Plus Ghiradelli's is way across town and the ice cream shops I just suggested are in The Mission.

  11. For Chinese Food: House of Nan King!

  12. Lone Palm (a very noir bar)

  13. For beer:
Monk's Kettle has an excellent selection of beers in the city (on 16th). Also Magnolia's over in the Haight (and Dogpatch location) is well know for their beer. Southern Pacific Brewery is a nice space but I've actually never had their beer (we did a mini ListApp meetup once there because it's a big space). Head over to Dogpatch neighborhood and go to Harmonic Brewing, Triple Voodoo and Anchor Brewing. And while your over there go to Mr & Mrs. Miscellaneous ice cream and grabs a scoop.

  14. Visit our shop Gravel and Gold in the mission. We have a handy printout of all cool things to do in the neighborhood.

  15. Press
A speciality books and things store focusing on out of print and out of the ordinary publications. they also have titles published by small independent presses and stationary!

  16. Green Apple is a great bookstore!! There are actually two locations a few doors down from each other (one mostly used/one mostly new). It's also located near other little shops/restaurants.

  17. Go to the Walt Disney museum (they have the 1st ever drawing of Mickey Mouse, his one-of-a-kind Oscar for Snow White and a ton of other really interesting stuff about both animation and Disney history!) if you like southern-ish comfort food and beer go to hops & hominy. If you can get a tour go to Anchor brewing, learn how they made anchor steam!

  18. Walk up (don't drive) to Coit Tower. It's super beautiful and unexpected and offers great views of the city!

  19. Palace of Fine Arts, Legion of Honor museum, golden gate park, presidio (there's a Yoda statue outside of the lucasfilm office there), pier 39, ghirardelli square (excellent hot chocolate), union square, take a tour of AT&T Park, hike to the top of Bernal Heights (my favorite view of the city and a very easy hike)

  20. I live in the mission!
Tacolicious (shot and a beer braised chucked tacos), Monks Kettle (if you can do the wait to get in), Southern Pacific Brewery (for some craft brews and pretty good bar food), El Techo de Lolinda (rooftop bar with a great view for Instagram but a little pricey), Alamo Drafthouse (watch a movie with beer and food brought to you 😱), Cafe Du Nord (used to be a speakeasy, but usually have bands playing and cocktails are good!), City Lights (bookstore)... I have so much more but I can't think of.
