Some of My Favorite Movie Moments Made Better by the Music Playing

  1. Between The Bars - Elliott Smith
Stuck In Love is one of my favorite movies and the way this song is used with how relevant it ends up being to the characters blows me away every time.
  2. Cherry Wine (Live) - Hozier
Wish I Was Here is one of those movies that completely floored me. I donated money to Zach Braff and when I saw the movie and heard this song, I pretty much lost it.
  3. Let Me In - Grouplove
I think the placement of this song in The Fault In Our Stars was so brilliant. And also I love Grouplove a lot.
  4. Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners
The way that Perks of Being a Wallflower uses this song is so brilliant. I can't hear this song without seeing Charlie gain the confidence to go dance with his friends.
  5. How It Ends - Devotchka
This is one of my favorite songs of all time and it just belongs in Little Miss Sunshine. It's so beautiful and fitting and just the best.
  6. The Marriage Of Figaro K.492 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
HAS THERE EVER BEEN A MORE GRATIFYING SCENE THAN WHEN THE CAST OF ZOMBIELAND IS DESTROYING A STORE IN SLOW MOTION WITH MOZART PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND?
  7. Bad Reputation - The Dollyrots
Easy A is one of those movies that I quote on the daily and the scene where she's cutting up lingerie and sewing A's on all of her clothes with this song in the background is PERFECT.
  8. Mad World - Gary Jules
I don't know if this is cliche or not, but I could never make a list like this without mentioning Donnie Darko.
  9. The Real Slim Shady - Eminem
I LOVE 21 Jump Street. I am actually watching it right now and I completely forgot about this opening sequence but it's great. Especially knowing that Jonah Hill did ACTUALLY love Eminem and frost his hair when he was a teenager.
  10. Home - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros
Stuck In Love, again. Because the fact that they used it for the opening, and then again later on, when a year had passed, makes me really happy and emotional in the best way.
  11. Pocketful of Sunshine - Natasha Bedingfield
I can't mention Easy A without bringing up this scene. I've never laughed harder.
  12. Angel - Shaggy
I heard Ryan Reynolds talk about this so choice specifically and it made my heart happy. It's just such perfectly weird but also fits the scene wonderfully at the same time. And the way it all goes in, first playing in the car and then used as the background during Deadpool's first killing spree that we get to witness. Gosh, I think about it all the time.
