HABITS I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT

  1. Make my bed the minute I get up...
Admiral William H. McRaven gave a commencement speech at the University of Texas, among the life lessons he shared was making your bed. He said, "Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that the little things in life matter. If you can't do the little things right, you'll never be able to do the big things right. And if by chance you have a miserable day, you will come home to a bed that is made--that you made.
  2. Prayer...
Anne Lamott says there are 3 basic prayers: "Help. Thanks. Wow." I liberally sprinkle my day with these prayers.
  3. Pick 3...
I pick three things that absolutely must be accomplished on that day. In general 1 is work-related, 1 is others-related, 1 is me-related.
