You guys, I need to list about BoJack Horseman and I don't know where or how to start

  1. it's so good
  2. IT'S SO GOOD
  3. IT'S SO 👏 FUCKING 👏 GOOD 👏
  4. I'm feeling so much about it and I don't know how to put it into words
  5. I think the last time I felt like this about a TV show it was Mad Men and I never found a way to put that into list form successfully
  6. So how do I frame this? Where do I start?
    Suggestions welcome.
  7. For now, some explosions of feeling:
  8. The music is 🔥🔥🔥! 🙌🙌🙌 @jesseno
  9. The last scene: legit 😭.
    THAT SONG.
  10. The political commentary: 😙👌
That's me kissing my fingers because it's just so delicious
  11. The character of BoJack is so brilliantly crafted. Obviously I'm a sucker for troubled male protagonists (see above re. Mad Men) but GODDAMN.
I know that guy. Actually I've known a lot of BoJacks. And Don Drapers.
  12. And yet it's also illuminating about them. I feel like I'm seeing more about them and still learning.
  13. The depiction of that messy, fucked-up tangle of creativity, talent, drive, hunger, longing, both staring into the existential void and fighting it, and all the good and the bad reasons we do any of it is just ON. POINT.

  14. And how they (we) find meaning in the midst of all that, or not: so beautiful
  15. And OMG the scene where Todd says to BoJack "It's just YOU." 😦
    Fuck.
  16. And it's FUNNY
  17. And it's clever
  18. And the underwater episode!
  19. And I just
  20. I
  21. 😍
  22. So please join me in discussing in the comments or suggest good list topics to help me frame it all.
  23. Thanks in advance.
  24. It is indeed brilliant. Raphael bob waksberg is a genius and fantastic story teller. And the opening and ending music is basically the best thing to ever have existed.

  25. One of my favorite things is all the animal bits. I love how they are frequently just visual gags while something else is going on. Same with the background signs. I find the show so visually rich in addition to the actual storyline.
