My First Hot Yoga Experience

  1. I started my day really excited about this class and ready to try something new.
  2. When I got to the yoga studio I was still really excited.
  3. When I walked into the room where we do the yoga, I suddenly regretted everything
  4. IN WHAT CRAZY WORLD WOULD SOMEONE LET ANYONE WORKOUT IN A ROOM THIS HOT!
  5. I clearly did not have an understanding of how hot it would be
  6. The class was one hour long. I made it 10 minutes before I was ready to faint.
  7. I was standing there not doing the pose and all I could think was how I can't do this.
  8. I tried to walk out of the room and the teacher said no. He said if I feel sick just sit down on your mat...you'll feel better.
  9. I sat down and just rested and drank water. Within minutes I did start to feel better and I got back up.
  10. I did what I could for the rest of the class. I probably only did about 20% of everything the teacher was asking us to do.
  11. I had to sit and stop about 10 times.
  12. After the class was over they gave everyone this freezing cold washcloth. I have never loved a washcloth more.
  13. I stepped outside and just tried to cool off. I felt better
  14. That was truthfully the hardest exercise experience of my entire life.
  15. I learned that I really need this.
  16. I'm going back today. I need to keep pushing myself.
  17. I'm sure it'll be just as hard today.
  18. After it all....I'm still kind of excited to go again.
