I love live music, but until today I didn't consciously realize that I had hoped to one day magically come across some secret Prince show...at 2 am...at a club I'm nowhere hip enough for...but happened to be at anyway. Here are some of my favorite concerts I've seen live, who somehow don't seem quite enough at this moment.
  1. Ella Fitzgerald
    Hollywood Bowl. Amazing.
  2. Frank Sinatra
He set a mood, even while swigging scotch by the bottle.
  3. Oingo Boingo
Early days in So Cal...oh man those were awesome shows. My knees are probably bad because of all of the dancing.
  4. Jane's Addiction
Perry whats-his-face was arrested on stage for indecent exposure. A long and low exposure, if you catch my drift.
  5. No Doubt
  6. Depeche Mode
Irvine Meadows (also RIP after this summer)
  7. Dave Matthews Band
  8. Peter Gabriel
  9. Sting
  10. Billy Joel
  11. Barenaked Ladies
    Like 18 concerts or something
  12. Carbon Leaf
  13. John Denver
Right after he and Annie broke up - no way in hell was he going to play Annie's Song that tour
  14. Dan Fogelberg
  15. Afro Celt Sound System
London. One of the best shows ever.
  16. Alanis Morissette
  17. New Order
Was just like listening to the album at home, but less comfortable
  18. The Friendly Indians
  19. B-52's
  20. C&C Music Factory
Grad Night - Disneyland - I was working
  21. Duran Duran
  22. Genesis
  23. The Guggenheim Grotto
Thanks @KCRW for introducing me to this band! Now they are called Storyman.
  24. U2
