These are the books I'm jumping between this week.
  1. This is the Story of a Happy Marriage by Ann Patchett
This book is beautiful. Ann Patchett is one of the best writers I've read. I'm such a fan of her novel Bel Canto, and now a fan of her non-fiction short stories and essays. Her writing is so personal and extremely relatable. I love this book so much.
  2. New York Diaries edited by Teresa Carpenter
Diary entries written in New York from 1601-2009. Really interesting to read daily life excerpts and the shift in writing style and grammar throughout the decades/centuries.
  3. There Once Was a Girl Who Seduced Her Sister's Husband, and He Hanged Himself
Love Stories by Ludmilla Petrushevskaya. I totally judged a book by its title at the book store, and it does not disappoint. Seduction, adultery, deceit, and love in Russia.
