March 26, that's the day this new role was thrust on me, mother. It's been a strange transition and I've been terrified of losing myself in the process. Here's what I've learned while doing it all:
  1. To function on very little sleep
  2. To entertain and put a baby to sleep (at the same time)
  3. To ask for help
  4. To cry and laugh over the same things
  5. To read a baby's cry
  6. To read a baby's poopy diaper
  7. To read short stories
Ain't no one got time for novels anymore
  8. To always take time for myself
Even if it's just a bath each night
