Ramblings from a TV addict. 📺
  1. + Parks and Recreation for Comedy Series!
Deservedly so for a beautiful final send off
It was cancelled, so I'm not surprised. But still: 😭😭😭😭
  3. + Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for Comedy Series!
If the show was only "Peenot Noir" on repeat, it should still be nominated. Also, yay for Titus Burgess and Jane Krakowski and Jon Hamm and Tina Fey! But why no Ellie Kemper?
  4. - No Broad City. Anywhere.
Arguably the funniest comedy on TV this year. Why no love for the incomparable duo of Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. No, kween.
  5. + Transparent for Comedy Series!
It's important and relevant and beautiful. Also yay Jeffrey Tambor and Gaby Hoffman!
  6. - Nothing for The Leftovers
Did voters forget how incredibly riveting and heartbreaking this HBO show was?
  7. + Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson
For How to Get Away with Murder and Empire, respectively. My queens.
  8. - Nothing for You're the Worst
I'm not really surprised but if you aren't watching this "anti-romantic comedy" on FX, you're missing out.
  9. + Better Call Saul for Drama Series!
A prequel for Breaking Bad could have gone severely awry, and it definitely did not. Also yay Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks!
  10. + No Big Bang Theory in Comedy Series
Shows with laugh tracks should be ineligible.
  11. + Elisabeth Moss!
Lead Actress, Drama for Mad Men. She should win solely for that final strut through the office. 👏🏼
  12. + Those 2 Bloodline nominations
I thought no one else watched this Netflix series. It was mostly 'blah' but Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn as bitter brothers was everything.
  13. + Lily Tomlin for Grace and Frankie
I'm 26 and I watched an entire show about two 70 year old couples on Netflix. I don't know why I did, but Lily Tomlin was the greatest thing about it.
  14. - Downton Abbey still getting nominated
Why is this stuffy show still taking up all the air in the room?
  15. + Homeland back in the inner circle!
After a very hit or miss 3rd season, Homeland's 4th recaptured its intense, nail-biting glory. It was rightfully invited back to the Drama Series circle.
  16. - No Mandy Patinkin for Homeland
His storyline was the best part of the season. Why was he snubbed?!
  17. + Uzo Aduba for Orange is the New Black
Uzo! Uzo for all the awards!
  18. - No @lenadunham for Girls
She is consistently funny and heartbreaking. Although, I'm fine with a Adam Driver and (another) Gaby Hoffman nomination!
  19. + Niecy Nash for Getting On!
I am literally obsessed with this tiny HBO comedy about a geriatrics ward in a hospital. It's about time some Emmy light was shed on it.
  20. Why am I so invested in this?!
