Farthest I've Traveled From Home

Home base being Quincy, Illinois...
  1. NORTH: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Target Field to be exact, Royals vs. Twins. Also checked out the Mall of America, and purified myself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.
  2. EAST: Queens, New York, NY
Shea Stadium, Astros vs. Mets game. Willets Point Subway Station to be precise. This spot is only 2° more east in longitude than Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.
  3. SOUTH: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Humanitarian Relief Operation in 1995. Narrowly beating out my honeymoon spot of Cancun for southernmost spot by 2° latitude... Southernmost spot visited in the continental US: Melbourne, FL... Only 1° further south than San Antonio, TX. All places I visited while in the Air Force.
  4. WEST: Malibu, CA
Malibu Canyon Road at Pepperdine University. On this day I road tripped around the greater Los Angeles area, this is as far west as I got.... Furthest west point from home without use of an airplane: Liberal, KS.
