1. The Stand by Stephen King
I've read this book several times. I liked the tv miniseries except Molly Ringwald was horribly miscast.
  2. East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Such a great book - more like a soap opera than I thought it would be. Very layered.
  3. All of the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling
I read them all then read them all again to my daughter when she was a preteen. After watching the movies I read them again. The movies did a good job but couldn't include everything.
  4. The Shining by Stephen King
Read this book the first time at the age of 10. Read it again recently before reading the sequel Doctor Sleep which I also really liked. The Stanley Kubrick movie was good but much different from the book.
