This list was WAY more difficult than I anticipated. I'm sure I'll realize there were some that I forgot! (Inspired by @MatthewAlmont)
  1. 1989-The Little Mermaid
This is kind of representing every Disney movie, because I felt like they would dominate the list.
  2. 1990-Edward Scissorhands
After it made it to HBO, "Eggward" and Annie were on a constant repeat. My parents rock.
  3. 1991-The Addams Family
The Thanksgiving pageant scene is one of my favorites.
  4. 1992-A League of Their Own
Aka "There's No Crying in Baseball" in my house. A Classic.
  5. 1993-Schindler's List
Okay, but Robin Hood Men in Tights was an extremely close second.
  6. 1994-Dumb and Dumber
Not a ton of options this year...
  7. 1995-Casper
Somehow had a crush on a ghost? The "Remember Me This Way" dance scene 😢
  8. 1996-Space Jam
Again, not a ton of options.
  9. 1997-Titanic
I was an 8 year old girl, obviously I loved this. I STILL love Leo
  10. 1998-The Wedding Singer
    I. Love. This. Movie. I have seen it so so so many times. My whole family quotes it on the regular. (I also have such a soft spot for Adam Sandler)
  11. 1999-10 Things I Hate About You
"But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all."
  12. 2000-Center Stage
Dancer CLASSIC. I could probably recite and perform this entire movie on the spot.
  13. 2001-Donnie Darko
"Somehow I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion" (I thought I was so cool for liking this movie. Hindsight, man)
  14. 2002-Goldmember
My friends and I quoted this throughout all of 8th grade
  15. 2003-Lord of the Rings
I figured one could represent the whole trilogy.
  16. 2004-Mean Girls
    A Teen Girl Classic💄
  17. 2005-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Okay I was only going to put one on the list (so I didn't use 8 spaces), but I think it deserves 2. Plus I couldn't find a better one for 2005.
  18. 2006-Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest
Also representing all of the movies. Had such a big crush on Orlando Bloom.
  19. 2007-Hairspray
I already loved this musical, then they made a movie, then they added Zac Efron in the mix and my brain exploded. I think I saw it 6 times in theaters. I had the poster in my Freshman dorm.
  20. 2008-The Dark Knight
    Heath 😭
  21. 2009-The Hangover
I know it's kind of a stupid movie, but I still loved it.
  22. 2010-Toy Story
    All of the tears
  23. 2011-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2
This movie, man. So many emotions. I can't even begin to explain it all
  24. 2012-The Hunger Games
Loved the books! I hurried to read the first one so I could see the movie!
  25. 2013
The moment I realized I hardly watch new movies anymore.
  26. 2014
Loved the books. Mainly Four 😍(Also the first time I broke my "book before movie" rule)
  27. 2015
Okay this was a no-brainier, but Jurrassic World was another close second
  28. 2016
To be determined! I haven't seen any movies from 2016, yet!
