| my morning routine |

this is how I start the day
  1. 1.
    wake up around 6:45AM
    4:25AM on Fridays.
  2. 2.
    drink coffee
    I use an electric kettle to boil water and add 2-3 spoonfuls of instant coffee.
  3. 3.
    eat breakfast
    a bowl of cereal and a ham and cheese sandwich. I eat the same thing every morning. on weekends, I have a cinnamon bun with coffee.
  4. 4.
    read
    I used to watch YouTube videos but afterwards it would take my mind a while to adjust and focus. I found that if I engaged my mind first thing in the morning, I tend to be more alert and mindful. I've been reading through Kathy Reichs' book series.
  5. 5.
    get ready for work
    brush teeth, shower, shave, get dressed.
  6. 6.
    yoga/meditate
    I don't do this every morning cause I hate feeling rushed when doing either but if I can block off 10-15 minutes, I will.
  7. 7.
    jog
    all the way to the bus stop.
