Midwinter Spring Is Its Own Season

In the dark time of the year. Between melting and freezing the soul's sap quivers.
  1. I will be doing more of the journaling and quiet-keeping over the next month or two.
  2. I will be doing less of the posting and talking and opinion sharing. 🌿
  3. I'm stopping my want to be a person on social media first.
To have my voice be the loud one. To process in public. To journal for other people's benefit.
  4. I want to be a person in real life first.
  5. This is about Lent. But this is also about me. And what I need to do.
I need to be quiet for a while, so I'm going to start with 40 days.

  7. We die with the dying:
  8. See, they depart, and we go with them.
  9. We are born with the dead:
  10. See, they return and bring us with them.
  11. The moment of the rose and the moment of the yew-tree
  12. Are of equal duration. A people without history
  13. Is not redeemed from time, for history is a pattern
  14. Of timeless moments. So, while the light fails
  15. On a winter's afternoon, in a secluded chapel
  16. History is now and England.
  17. With the drawing of this Love and the voice of this Calling
  18. We shall not cease from exploration
  19. And the end of all our exploring
  20. Will be to arrive where we started
  21. And know the place for the first time.
