in no perfect order.
  1. Room on Fire - The Strokes
I got into The Strokes with Is This It? but Room on Fire remains to be my fav album by them. I have a tattoo of the line "Life ain't chess." From the song 'What Ever Happened.'
  2. Elevator - Hot Hot Heat
A go-to staple, every song is good.
  3. Ripley Pine - Lady Lamb
A huge regret is not getting into Lady Lamb before 2015. Her music is perfect and she is a goddess. Nearly every song of hers touches me profoundly in some way and makes me feel not so alone when I'm sad.
  4. After - Lady Lamb
    See above
  5. Suck It And See - Arctic Monkeys
My fav AM album is possibly the most underrated!
  6. Modern Vampires of the City - Vampire Weekend
Everything VW does is golden. Ezra is king.
  7. Never Trust A Happy Song - Grouplove
Ugh so good. The fact that the album opens on 'Itchin' On A Photograph' is so clutch.
  8. Dog Problems - The Format
An essential album that I listened to a lot in high school
  9. London Calling - The Clash
    Thanks Dad
  10. Ocean Rain - Echo & the Bunnymen
    Thanks Mom
  11. I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning - Bright Eyes
    Just dope throughout.
  12. The King is Dead - the Decemberists
For some reason I didn't used to like The Decemberists. And then I listened to the King is Dead and I fell in love with all their music.
  13. Odelay - Beck
    'Jackass' is a perfect song.
  14. Rock Steady - No Doubt
I listened to this album every single day on the bus when I was in middle school. No lie. For three years.
  15. Demon Days - Gorillaz
  16. Live From Royal Albert Hall - The Killers
For the live version of 'Sam's Town' especially
  17. For Emma, Forever Ago - Bon Iver
  18. Hunky Dory - David Bowie
