  1. Live music
    Always helps. Anytime. I am so at peace at a show (even if the music is rage-y). Sometimes I even cry because I am a lame-o who loves Art. (Addendum: wear ear protection at concerts, folks! I always bring an extra set of ear plugs so if I'm there you can ask me for a pair!)
  2. Rereading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
    Harry's angstiest chapter that was released during my own angstiest chapter. It brings me back and centers my mind in the craziness of today.
  3. Watch a really good movie
    Options include Juno, When Harry Met Sally, Punch Drunk Love, The Virgin Suicides, or a newly released film that I don't expect to blow me away but does.
  4. Go to the mall and sit in the middle
    Malls are my favorite place in the world. This is for a lot of reasons, but mainly because they afford me "clarity, peace, serenity" (Fergie, "Big Girls Don't Cry)
