The first time I heard this story was in The Crying game and I thought, wow, pretty cool story. Now it's like enough already.
  1. Mr. Arkadin (1955)
Hard to top Orson Welles. After this the scorpion/frog story laid dormant for 24 years until it was resurrected in Skin Deep.
  2. Skin Deep (1989)
Never saw this but it looks horrible.
  3. The Crying Game (1992)
Give Forest Whitaker a parable and watch the scenery get chewed.
  4. Natural Born Killers (1994)
Couldn't find video for this but it's in there.
  5. Star Trek Voyager (1997)
They went all in and named the episode "Scorpion," but to keep it fresh they changed the frog to a fox.
  6. Drive (2011)
I knew I liked this movie. They don't drag us through the entire fable; they just make a quick reference to it, assuming we know it. If you're a sentient human being who's watched television and movies, how could you not?
  7. Magic City (2012)
Underrated Cinemax TV show. I watched it even though this scene was in the pilot.
