The Most Popular High School Plays (1938-2014)

NPR crunched the data from “Dramatics," a magazine for theater students and teachers. The popularity of a production (especially musicals) seems to depend on licensing. High schools can't produce a show until it's run its course on Broadway and in regional theaters. Full story:
