TIME INCREMENTS I REFERENCE IN NORMAL SPEECH

  1. Fifteen minutes.
Everything that's happening soon is happening in fifteen minutes. (Especially things that are stressfully soon). For example, I am moving on July 2nd, a literal two weeks away, but I was just yelling on the phone that I am concerned because my family is visiting in the meantime, "and then I move out in, like, fifteen minutes!")
  2. Eight hundred thousand years.
Same concept, but in reverse. Things that are actually fifteen minutes are more likely to be described as taking eight hundred thousand years. Especially if it's a meal I'm waiting for.
  3. That is it, there is no in-between.
