TIME INCREMENTS I REFERENCE IN NORMAL SPEECH
- •Fifteen minutes.Everything that's happening soon is happening in fifteen minutes. (Especially things that are stressfully soon). For example, I am moving on July 2nd, a literal two weeks away, but I was just yelling on the phone that I am concerned because my family is visiting in the meantime, "and then I move out in, like, fifteen minutes!")
- •Eight hundred thousand years.Same concept, but in reverse. Things that are actually fifteen minutes are more likely to be described as taking eight hundred thousand years. Especially if it's a meal I'm waiting for.
- •That is it, there is no in-between.
