My Favorite Michigan Football Players

These are not the greatest, just my favorites; how excited Frank Beckmann would get saying their names played a big role. Others considered (but not mentioned below): Ty Law, Mercury Hayes, Elvis Grbac, Ian Gold, Anthony "A-Train" Thomas, and so many more. For the record, Desmond Howard was slightly before my time.
  1. 1.
    Charles Woodson
    My Heisman.
  2. 2.
    Tsmonga Biakabatuk
Ohio State, 1995. Tyrone Wheatley, you were great too.
  3. 3.
    Drew Henson
Sorry Tom Brady, Drew was electric.
  4. 4.
    Jake Long
He was a great left tackle, but I struck him out more than five times on the diamond. I loved telling that story. Will some NFL team please sign him?
  5. 5.
    Rob Renes
    Just a bad man.
  6. 6.
    David Terrell
There are so many receivers to choose from, but I'll never forget the day he had in the 2000 Orange Bowl beating Alabama.
  7. 7.
    Larry Foote
I think he made every single tackle his senior year.
  8. 8.
    Jerame Tuman
Greise to Tuman won us a National Championship.
  9. 9.
    Glen Steele
My favorite defensive end. Sorry Lamar Woodley
  10. 10.
    Denard Robinson
Although it was a dark period in Michigan football history, he made it worth watching (especially Notre Dame 2011).
