THINGS I FOUND IN CLOTHING/DONATION BINS WHEN I WORKED AT AN OP SHOP

I genuinely cannot exaggerate how bad this job was basically I was sorting through people's garbage because apparently no one understands what donating clothes to charity shops really means plus my boss was the worst person I have ever known and also I was depersonalised for the whole year and my depression was the most severe it has ever been
  1. This is what a clothing/donation bin is if you are unfamiliar
Basically when you've outgrown your STILL WEARABLE clothes you put them CLEAN in one of these and they go off to a second hand store where they are sold on for cheap to people who need/want cheap clothing OR they are given away for free to people who really need them.
  2. So much mould
Seriously. The amount of clothing that was damp or stunk with mould is fuckin unbelievable. Some of it rock hard like it had been wet and mouldy and then dried. TWICE I had washing baskets full of wet, mouldy clothes that had been washed but some fucker was too lazy/much of a cunt to dry
  3. Hypodermic needles
So cool so safe I didn't nearly hurt myself on these
  4. Used pads/sanitary towels
Usually still attached to underpants like really???
  5. Containers of mouldy food
Don't ever donate food by putting it in one of these bins I mean that should be fucking obvious but apparently not
  6. Rotten meat
    Like raw and green
  7. So much glass
I had so many cuts on my hands always and I was constantly taking antibiotics just to be safe
  8. A dog bone
Like not the type that a dog eats or whatever it was part of a dog
  9. SO MANY USED CONDOMS
Like good job bein safe with the sex but don't put them in there!!!
  10. Shitty underpants
    Yup gr888
  11. A bloodstained shirt with stab holes through it
    Fucking terrifying
  12. A bucket full of mussel shells
Stunk so bad I spent days trying to figure out where in my workspace (which was like 100m x 15m size) the smell was comin from
  13. Clothing stained/wet with cat piss/human piss
    Cool so wearable and reusable
  14. Curtains rolled up and right at the centre was approx. 200 cigarette butts
The smell stayed in my nose for days I s2g I thought the air would never be fresh again
  15. A half empty tube of lube
Like no one wants your leftover lube, buddy
  16. Literal bags of trash
Like that's as plain as I can put it, it was like they'd missed rubbish day and so they chucked their rubbish into donation bins so they wouldn't have to have it at their house
  17. Hundreds of tiny fly eggs
I tried to fucking crush them all but I missed some and when I got to work the next day (32°C heat btw) they had hatched and there were a fuckin hundred flies everywhere
  18. Loose dirt/soil
Also mud stained clothing and shoes like the kind where it's breaking off and crumbling and shit ugh
  19. ...
  20. BUT I WAS LUCKY THIS NEXT PART IS WHAT MY COWORKER FOUND
  21. A deer carcass
A SKINNED DEER SOME PERSON HAD LITERALLY THROWN A SKINNED DEER INTO A CLOTHING BIN
  22. A very used flesh light
WHY WHY WHY WOULD YOU DONATE THIS
  23. Multiple vibrators/dildos
Have you ever seen these sold at a second hand shop no because WHY WOULD YOU
  24. Multiple dead cats
p sure they were cats that had climbed their way in and then died inside the bins not like cats that were killed and donated
  25. Dead dog
    Definitely thrown in dead
  26. Maggots
Some with the deer carcass others with all of the other dead animals plus also the meat thankfully I never found maggots
  27. And also all or most of the stuff I found because that shit is never ending
  28. ...
  29. Also I am p sure that I heard on the news last year that a dead human body was found in one??? Not sure if that was here in NZ or maybe Australia but like I can't I just I can't
