  1. 1.
A ring that makes me warm and a book I can get lost in.
  2. 2.
Incredibly appropriate for today, this reminded me that nothing in life comes without an accompanying result, in this case a shadow.
  3. 3.
Best bent thing I've seen in ages happened to come into my life today: a paper the boyfriend wrote months ago that I got some lipstick on (whoops) received a cackle-inducing note from his professor.
  4. 4.
Finally got this giant cone today after wanting one for nearly a month—talk about great HEIGHTS, right?
  5. 5.
If shallow is to short as deep is to long, then my hair is now much shallower than it used to be.
  6. 6.
Just the kitchen sink being a kitchen sink.
  7. 7.
    On The Wall
A trio of copper silhouettes my mom, sister, and I had done at Dollywood when I was 10 years old. The copper foil reflects as you walk up the stairs and it's a bit (pretentiously) profound to think about how the images from the past is literally showing you a reflection of how time changes you, etc.
  8. 8.
Having a Tarzen (© 1999; Disney) moment at dinner.
  9. 9.
A bunny made from a grape that my mom brought home from her painting group today.
  10. 10.
An album the boyfriend bought me yesterday full of softly beautiful acoustic songs that give me heart eyes.

    On the Road
I thought my planner for this year encapsulated the whole "on the road" concept as I see it: striking out to experience new things, whether they be huge changes involving strange places or simply doing average things as an independent adult for the first time.
  12. 12.
The boyfriend and I are on a road trip to see Bastille (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and sweet little Ganymede (from a game he loves) is our fuzzy guardian.
  13. 13.
    My bathroom wall.
  14. 14.
    Black and White
A bra that I've had for WAY too long (way too long as in it's been too big for 4 years 🙊).
  15. 15.
A wonky markered tree that was included in my entry for a poster contest; my elementary school art teacher had all the students create pieces for it. Clearly there weren't that many participants, because I drew this as a fifth grader yet I won first place and a $50 check. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  16. 16.
    The boyfriend's favorite kitty.
  17. 17.
    ...for bed.
  18. 18.
    On My Plate
Leftover reheated Dominos pizza with the boy.
  19. 19.
A painting I purchased in Cozumel after watching a street artist paint it and was wholly mesmerized by the complexities he could create with what most people—including myself—would consider leftover trash (i.e. cardboard, spray paint lids, plastic whipped cream containers, etc.).
  20. 20.
When I had a prolonged empty time slot at work today.
  21. 21.
    Hard Work
I couldn't even fit all the colossal tornado-esque mess that is my room, which will take a whole lot of hard work to put right. Tomorrow.
  22. 22.
    Hard Work
After literally spending the entire day deep cleaning my bathroom and shedding many frustrated tears over the tower of changes required by my bedroom... I'm not even close to having a finished product. Too exhausted to continue. 😶
  23. 23.
I like it of course, but I've never been a HUGE space person, but my (perfect and completely flawless) baby sister has, so we had my dad "help us" put these stars up on our ceiling when we still shared a room (a room I'm sleeping in now. At 25.). They've fallen off over the years, but they used to form actual constellations.💫🚀🌖
  24. 24.
Nothing helps you see the things that bring brightness into your life like the dark. 🧀

    A Pet
The first pet my family owned in my lifetime—Bobby; he didn't even truly belonged to us, he sort of lived in the neighborhood and came and went from our home as he pleased. Even so, he was my introduction to puppies and, as you can see, we were fast friends.
  26. 26.
Of all the non-motion happening in my life these days, the speed of these popcorn kernels—tiny little pods that sit in waiting until conditions are right, and then shoot out too quickly to photograph properly—are pretentiously encouraging to me each week.
  27. 27.
    A Wish
    My planner brings wisdom.
  28. 28.
    A Moment
I am loathe to use a selfie but I have no other photos from today. This was the moment I was finally able to slow down and get ready for bed after surviving a long, tough, fun, emotional working weekend filled with irritable parents, bizarre kiddos, impending thunderstorms, and sleep deprivation.
  29. 29.
    A Pair
    My glasses. 🤓
  30. 30.
Broke out my enormous Disney coloring pad today and look what I happened upon: "Belle's favorite memory was when she and the Beast danced under the moonlight together and became the dearest of friends." 💛💛💛
  31. 31.
Ending this photo challenge with the lamest entry of all, because today was full of lowkey rough stuff—from beginning with having trouble waking up (summer fatigue) to not being able to speak properly all day (perhaps MS related; my neurologist has often mentioned it as a very real possibility) to ending with a headache and a frustrating merchant (I never understand when people to whom I want to give my money won't communicate with me adequately), it was rough all over. Still blessed though.💜
