5 Tips For Studying Abroad

Tips I leaned through out my study aboard experience. Hope it helps! :)
  1. 1.
    GET LOST
Yes, you read correctly. GET LOST. Not only will this allow you to explore the city even better but forces you to communicate with locals for directions. Explore and make new friends on your way!
  2. 2.
    AVOID BEING IN LARGE GROUPS
No local will approach to you if you're always with a large group. Stick with two to three friends. Locals find large groups very intimidating and also annoying.
  3. 3.
    TRY LOCAL RESTAURANTS
Don't be that person that goes to an Irish pub in Barcelona. Spain. Try local restaurants, they usually have the best local food to offer. Avoid chain restaurants.
  4. 4.
    SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE
Try and practice the country's native language. Don't go straight to ordering in English. Many locals and workers find that offensive. Locals rather listen to you try to speak their language. It's more respectful than going straight forward to English (unless you're in the U.K or United States )
