To be clear, I'm not actually embarrassed about anything I listen to. I'm 45. That makes me officially too old to care. But it occurred to me as I worked out today that some people might give me the side eye for jamming to The Sign by Ace of Base. Or, say, the disco cover of Don't Cry for Me Argentina. SHUT UP!!! Now you go.
  1. (Also, "Too Old to Care: the Julia Smillie Story" will be the title of a Lifetime movie about me.)
  2. The Beautiful People - Christina Aguilera, Burlesque Movie Soundtrack.
I try to keep songs that I would normally not listen to on my workout playlists. Keeps it from getting stale. The song has a fast beat. Never saw the movie.

  5. Take a Hint (from the TV show, Victorious)
One of the blessings of having a tween daughter is that I had an excuse to watch this show. I still watch bits of it on YouTube willingly. It's a great show with good music and LOTS of humor clearly written & produced by GenXers. Sooooo many jokes and references the kids won't get. Anyway, this is an awesome, pro-girl, anti-douche song.

  6. Straight Up by Paula Abdul
I still remember the steps we did to this in aerobics class.

  7. Fat- Weird Al
Usually only played after a cheat day when I don't want to get off my ass. Self deprecating motivation
