    Right down the road from the White House. A Smithsonian (so it's free!) but it's smaller and just has a nice vibe to it that I love. Great installations and art pieces

  17. Sorry premature send. Swings best coffee they roast in Alexandria but have storefronts in the district. All the Smithsonian museums are great because free & excellent curators and exhibits. Suckler/freer are favorites. Hirshorn is stepping up its game. National gallery east and west buildings always amaze.
    DC is becoming a great food town, serious markets and purveyors specialty producers. The restaurant scene is blossoming read Tom seistema of the post to keep current. The district just got included in the Michelin guide. Welcome to the area.
