How I get my day started for peak performance.
  1. Wake at 0430
    Studies show that most successful people wake before 6 a.m.
  2. Meditation
    Another skill used by the most successful people. Whatever you call it-mindfulness, centering, prayer- helps with stress and provides focus to your day. Some non-spiritual meditation apps I like are Headspace and Aware.
  3. Review my day ahead
    Have my planner ready at my favorite chair, with a cup of coffee.
  4. Move!
    I like to run or hit the gym by 0530.
  5. Starbucks!
    Venti Sumatra, no room.
  6. Breakfast
    Most important meal of the day! Usually eggs, spinach and avocado, followed by a magnesium supplement.
